BlackBerry Reportedly Files Patent-Infringement Suit Against Nokia

BlackBerry filed a patent-infringement case against Nokia. Because Nokia’s products uses a technology of  BlackBerry’s patents. It has been filed a complained on Tuesday in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. Nokia’s products like Flexi Multi radio base stations, Liquid Radio software, and radio network controllers are using the technology that is covered by BlackBerry patents.

Blackberry said that the Nokia is aware of their  inventions and also previously tried to buy some patents involved in the case but finally failed in 2009. The patents  covers some of the crucial 3GPP mobile telecommunication standard.

Nokia’s mobile products uses the concept of BlackBerry’s patents without license from BlackBerry.  So blackberry says it is not for blocking entire technology but expects Nokia try to get license from them. So now the BlackBerry is expecting to get compensate from Nokia.
