Indian Patent office signs biennial action plan with its Japan counterpart

Indian Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks Shri O.P. Gupta and Deputy Commissioner of Japan Patent Office Mr. Masayuki Koyanagi signed the biennial action plan for 2017-2019 on 24th May, 2017 at Mumbai on collaboration between Japan patent office and the Indian patent office.

The objective of the biennial action plan is to exchange the information on search and examination practices between two countries, organizing awareness for advancement in commercializing IP assets, training courses for recruited examiners, other officials, people who undertake IP matters in academic institutions, R & D Institutions, Startups, MSMEs, and newly registered patent agents, etc.
